I am keen on beginning a type of Martial Arts but to be honest I am not sure where to begin. I am 24 years old and want something easy to start off with.

Any ideas?

I would need to know a little more detail of what you desire really before I can help you, what would be the main reason for wanting to start a martial art? Self defence only, would you wish to compete or would you rather not compete, would you be interested in doing an old martial art with much traditional values and discipline, or something more laid back and light hearted, fun and fitness only, sport oriented martial art or traditional non sport martial art, weaponry or not?

No martial art is really that easy but as a beginner most good martial arts clubs would build you into it gradually, also your location may well dictate what clubs are available to you, maybe see what clubs are near to you that you may fancy, list them here then I can tell you a little about each one. It can be hard choosing the right one at first, my advice would be do some research on aikido, jui jitsu, karate, taekwondo, mma, jkd, kung fu, bujutsu, etc and see if you start to lean towards some arts other than others also check out the video section here, I will add more vids soon and let us know what you think. Even then though there are loads of different 'styles' within those arts such as Goju ryu karate, Shotokan karate etc  but you can worry about that later. Good luck, feel free to post back with your preferences or if you want to know about/compare a couple of martial arts etc and we will try and give you some advice.

I would say Aikido. I've just started Aikido myself and my 1st lesson was yesterday! It was easy-ish but a lot to remember :D

Wing Tsun...Interesting choice!

A technically challenging form of martial arts but certainly one worth considering.
Does Wing Tsun fall under the same umbrella as Wing Chun?
